Service Description: The Wastewater Collection Crew identifies manholes or gravity mains that have issues with tree roots that block the flow of waste. A company is hired to put specific chemicals into the manholes or mains to clear out the roots. The project is done once a year with three revolving areas throughout the city. In 2025, it was changed from three groups to two groups. Although the assets for a particular year could change depending on how bad the roots are, the city is generally split up into two areas and the cost is roughly distributed evenly throughout the years.
The scale for the project changes based on the area shown.
The datasets included in the project are SDE.DBO.Wastewater and SDE.DBO.Transportation. The feature classes are SDE.DBO.wwCleanout, SDE.DBO.wwManhole, SDE.DBO.wwGravityMain, SDE.DBO.wwNetworkStructure, SDE.DBO.wwPressurizedMain and SDE.DBO.trCityCenterline.
