 "serviceDescription": "The Public Land Survey System (PLSS) is a way of subdividing and describing land in the United States. All lands in the public domain are subject to subdivision by this rectangular system of surveys, which is regulated by the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management (BLM) https://nationalmap.gov/small_scale/a_plss.html. The terrain contours were derived from the 2014 City of Gillette LiDAR. The vertical and horizontal control network was established by the City of Gillette Engineering Division in 1999 and is maintained by the GIS Division. It was established for surveyors to have a permanent control point to do the surveys from. Scale dependency and labels are assigned to multiple feature classes. The Datasets are SDE.DBO.Terrain and SDE.DBO.LandSurvey. The feature classes are SDE.DBO.teContour050, SDE.DBO.teContour010, SDE.DBO.teContour002, SDE.DBO.lsBLMQuarterQuarter, SDE.DBO.lsBLMQuarterSection, SDE.DBO.lsBLMSection, SDE.DBO.lsBLMTownship, SDE.DBO.lsHorizontal and SDE.DBO.lsVertical.\n\nThis service has numerous types over many fields.
